Football Wins Final Home Game 29-14 Over St. Olaf

The Gustavus football team won its final home game of the season Saturday at Hollingsworth Field, defeating St. Olaf 29-14, improving to 7-2 overall, 5-2 in the MIAC, and 3-1 in the Northwoods Division. With the victory, the Gusties have secured a spot in the MIAC third-place matchup next Saturday at Concordia, who earned the Skyline Division’s No. 2 seed with a 41-7 victory over Hamline today.

Women’s Hockey Wins Season Opener 4-1 at Lake Forest

The Gustavus women’s hockey team opened its season Friday night with a 4-1 non-conference win at Lake Forest. The Gusties erased a 1-0 deficit after the first period with a pair of goals in both the second and third frames.

Volleyball Sweeps St. Olaf in Three Sets, Advances to MIAC Title Match

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus volleyball team swept their way to a MIAC Championship on Friday night with scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-18 over St. Olaf. With their fifth straight sweep, the Gusties improve to 25-5. Gustavus advances to the MIAC playoff title match for the fourth time in six years and will host number two seed, Bethel.

Football Hosts St. Olaf in Final Home Game Saturday

The Gustavus football team hosts St. Olaf at 1 p.m. Saturday in the final home game of the season at Hollingsworth Field. The Gusties enter the contest 6-2 overall, 4-2 in the MIAC, and 2-1 in the Northwoods Division, while the Oles are 4-4 overall, 3-3 in the league, and 2-1 in the division. 

Women’s Hockey 2021-22 Season Preview

After playing in just five games last season due to strict COVID testing protocols, the Gustavus women’s hockey team is eager to begin a full-slated 2021-22 season on Friday night at Lake Forest. The MIAC-defending champion Gusties are ranked No. 6 in Division III according to the latest USCHO poll.

Rachel Rehnelt's (Sr., Albert Lea) goal 6:17 into the game proved to be the only score in Monday's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoff quarterfinal game as the Gustavus women's soccer team defeated Augsburg 1-0.

Men’s Hockey Wins 7-4 Over Lawrence University

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus men's hockey team looked to respond after taking a 5-2 opening night loss against the Lawrence University Vikings. The Gusties retaliated with a 7-4 win while newcomers Artem Korolev (Fy., Moscow, Russia) and Brandon McNamara (Fy., Andover) notched their first collegiate goals in the process. With the win, Gustavus moves to 1-1 overall.

Volleyball Shuts Out Saint Mary’s, Claims MIAC Championship

WINONA, Minn. - The Gustavus volleyball team won over St. Mary's in straight sets with scores of 25-15, 25-16, and 25-21. With the victory Gustavus claims the MIAC regular season championship with the Royals following an overall record of 24-5 and a conference mark of 10-1. The Gusties have the head-to-head tiebreaker over Bethel as the No. 1 seed in the MIAC playoffs.

Men’s Soccer Shuts Out Macalester in Regular Season Closer

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus men's soccer team hosted their final conference game of the season against the Macalester Scots and took a 3-0 win, closing out the season 14-4 and 8-2 in the MIAC which proves solid #19 in the country and ties second in the conference.
