Track & Field To Host Drake Alternative Invite Saturday
After an impressive showing last Saturday at the Carleton Relays that saw second place finishes by both the Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams, the Gusties return home Saturday to host the Drake Alternative Invitational. The meet begins with field events at 10 a.m. followed by running events at 12:15 p.m. Teams competing include Augsburg, Bemidji State, Bethany Lutheran, Concordia-St. Paul, Crown, Gustavus, Martin Luther, Minnesota-Duluth, Minnesota-Morris, Minnesota State-Mankato, and St. Thomas.

Men’s And Women’s Track & Field Takes Part In Drake Alternative
The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams battled through windy conditions throughout the afternoon at the 11th Annual Drake Alternative held in St. Peter, Minn. on Saturday. The men’s (2) and women’s (6) squads combined for eight individual event wins at the meet, as no team scores were kept.
Men’s Track and Field Competes At Drake Alternative
The Gustavus Adolphus men's outdoor track and field team hosted the Drake Alternative Outdoor Meet Saturday in St. Peter, posting 12 top-five finishes. Event winners included Carson Smith (So., Prior Lake, Minn.) in the 800 meters and Dan Foley (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn.) in the 5,000 meters, and the 4x800 relay team. No team scores were kept during the meet.

The Drake Alternative Track and Field Meet scheduled to take place at Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday, April 26 has been cancelled due poor weather conditions. The meet will not be rescheduled.
Track and Field Competes at Drake Alternative Meet
The Gustavus Adolphus College track and field team hosted the Drake Alternative Outdoor Meet Saturday in St. Peter, posting a number of top-eight finishes. Tanner Miest (110 hurdles), Tyler Geyen (400 hurdles), and Andy Klaers (discus) captured titles for the Gustie men, while Krista Cruse (400 dash), Sari Lindeman (triple jump) and the 4x400 and 4x100 relay teams took home titles for the Gustie women. No team scores were kept. The Gusties will compete at Hamline's Meet of the UnSaintly Friday evening.

The Gustavus track and field team will host its sixth annual Drake Alternative Meet Saturday, April 29 in St. Peter. Field events are scheduled begin at 10:30 a.m. while running events will get underway at approximately 12:15 p.m., with the exception of the 10000-meter run, which will start at 10:50 a.m. Heat sheets are available by clicking here.
