  • Four Softball Players Earn All-Conference Honors

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2011 Softball Awards on Tuesday, May 17, recognizing four Gustavus softball players with All-Conference honors. Senior catcher Dani Cattrysse, sophomore outfielder MacKenzie Dalton, junior infielder Lisa Klass, and sophomore pitcher/DH Kate Rentschler were all named to the 2011 MIAC All-Conference Team.

  • Truebenbach And Rentschler Shut Down Augsburg, Softball Sweeps 4-1, 12-0

    The Gustavus softball team earned its second consecutive MIAC sweep by taking down Augsburg 4-1 and 12-0 on Monday in St. Peter. Erin Truebenbach and Kate Rentschler were lights out on the hill, allowing a combined three hits on the day. Gustavus improves to 20-11-1 overall and 13-2-1 in the MIAC with the victories.

  • Softball Earns Sweep At Carleton

    The Gustavus softball team swept Carleton 13-4 and 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. Kate Rentschler and Erin Truebenbach both got wins on the hill, while Kirsten Prunty broke out with a 5-for-6 with three runs and three RBI day. Gustavus improves to 15-9 overall and 8-0 in the MIAC.

  • Softball Has Strong Showing In MIAC Post-Season Awards

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its 2010 MIAC Softball Awards on Tuesday, May 18, bestowing four Gustavus softball players with All-Conference honors. Senior pitcher Betsie Collins, sophomore infielder Lisa Klass, Junior infielder Kirsten Prunty, and junior outfielder Emily Wendorff were all named to the 2010 MIAC All-Conference team.

  • Softball Sweeps St. Ben’s, Clinches #2 Seed In MIAC Playoffs

    The Gustavus softball team wrapped up regular season conference play with a doubleheader sweep of St. Ben’s in St. Joseph on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties won game one 10-0 and then claimed game two 5-0. Dani Cattrysse sparked the Gustavus offense as she was 4-for-4 at the plate with six RBI in the two games.

  • Softball Splits Doubleheader With Augsburg, Drops To Second Place in League Standings

    The Gustavus softball team played two nailbiters with Augsburg on Tuesday afternoon and the Gusties managed to win game one 3-2 in nine innings, but the Auggies scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to win game two 4-3. Gustavus is now 19-7 overall and 12-2 in league play.
