Jess Vadnais, Bri Monahan Named Finalists for WBCA/Kodak All-America Women’s Basketball Team
The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), has announced the finalists for the 2007 Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team for Division III of the NCAA. The 40 finalists, which includes Gustavus standouts Jess Vadnais and Bri Monahan, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America Team. The teams are selected by WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions.
Women’s Basketball Defeats Hamline 81-55, Monahan Becomes All-Time Leading Scorer
The Gustavus women's basketball jumped out to a 22-9 lead in the first seven minutes of the game and never looked back on its way to a convincing 81-55 win at Hamline on Saturday afternoon. It was a big day for senior Bri Monahan as she scored 19 points and became the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Gustavus women's basketball program. Jess Vadnais led all scorers with 25 points.

Gustavus senior Bri Monahan and junior Jess Vadnais have been named Co-MIAC Players of Week in women's basketball. The duo combined to help the Gusties claim wins over Augsburg, Bethel, and St. Ben's last week. The Gusties have now won eight straight games and are a in first place tie with St. Ben's with a record of 13-2.

The Gustavus women's basketball team improved to 12-2 overall and 9-2 in the MIAC with an impressive 68-48 victory over Carleton on Wednesday night in St. Peter. Jess Vadnais led the Gusties with 19 points, while Bri Monahan recorded her first double-double of the season by scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
