Remarkably, student-athletes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) keep finding ways to achieve both in their chosen sports and in the classroom at ever-improving rates. For the first time in MIAC history, the conference recognized more than 1,000 student-athletes with Academic All-Conference honors. Gustavus has 58 student-athletes recognized as Winter-Spring Academic All-Conference.

Krug was nominated for the award after the steps she took to provide care to Gustie women’s hockey player Kaitlyn Klein who broke her neck during an early season game in Vermont.
