Last Wednesday the Gustavus women’s basketball team participated in the inaugural Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Day of Service by volunteering at Mankato’s Emergency Community Help Organization (ECHO) Food Shelf. Student-athletes and the Gustavus coaching staff sorted food, cleaned a large walk-in freezer, and stocked shelves.

Remarkably, student-athletes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) keep finding ways to achieve both in their chosen sports and in the classroom at ever-improving rates. For the first time in MIAC history, the conference recognized more than 1,000 student-athletes with Academic All-Conference honors. Gustavus has 58 student-athletes recognized as Winter-Spring Academic All-Conference.
