Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Takes First At Carleton Relays

The Gustavus men’s outdoor track and field team compiled 159.5 points to take first place at the Carleton Relays held at Laird Stadium on the campus of Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. The Gusties registered nine top-three finishes in the track events and seven top three finishes in the field events at the meet. Concordia placed second with 127.5 points, as Hamline rounded out the top three in third with 109 points.

Hanson And Bartley Register Wins For Men’s Outdoor Track & Field At Lee Krough Invitational

The Gustavus men’s outdoor track and field totaled 19 top five finishes and two event wins at the Lee Krough Invitational held on the Gustavus Outdoor Track and Field Complex on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Max Hanson and Mark Bartley turned in the top Gustavus performances of the meet. Hanson was victorious in the 1500-meter run (3:57.63), and Bartley won the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:17.45). No team scores were kept at the meet.

Track & Field Set To Host Lee Krough Invitational

The Gustavus men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to host the Lee Krough Invitational on Saturday, April 10th, at the Gustavus Track and Field Complex in St. Peter, Minn. Field events are set to begin at 11:00 a.m. Participating schools will include Minnesota State Mankato, Martin Luther, Minnesota Duluth, Saint Mary's, Bethany Lutheran, and Winona State. Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Places Third At Central College Invite

The Gustavus men’s outdoor track and field team got the outdoor season started by compiling 97 points to finish in third place at the Central College Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Pella, Iowa. The Gusties tallied four event wins and 14 top five finishes at the meet. Central College won the meet with 222.50 points, as Minnesota Duluth placed second with 212.50 points.

Max Hanson Places Fifth In 800-Meter Run At 2010 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

Gustavus Adolphus senior Max Hanson had the top Gustavus finish at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships held this weekend at the James A. Hollensteiner Track on the campus of DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. Hanson took first place in his qualifying heat with time of 1:53.87, and later placed fifth in the finals of the race with a time of 1:53.19. Senior Kaelene Lundstrum, the 2010 MIAC Field Athlete of the Meet, finished in eighth place in both the pentathlon (3308) and high jump (5' 5.25").

Four members of the Gustavus indoor track and field team have qualified to compete at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships March 12-13 at the James A. Hollensteiner Track in the DePauw Indoor Tennis and Track Center on the campus of DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. Seniors Max Hanson and Kaelene Lundstrum, and juniors Janey Helland and Sam Broderius will be among the total of 446 student-athletes competing in the two-day event.

Men’s And Women’s Track & Field Teams Receive All-Academic Team Honors

Both the Gustavus Adolphus men's and women's indoor track and field teams have received All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The men's team had a cumulative team GPA of 3.28, while the women's squad had a team GPA of 3.47.
