The Gustavus baseball team split a MIAC doubleheader with St. Thomas on Wednesday at the Gustie Baseball Field. The Gusties claimed game one 3-1, but lost the nightcap 5-4, snapping their 11-game winning streak.

Bryce Novak Named MIAC Baseball Player of the Week

Novak had at least one hit in every game, batting 10-for-19 (.526) with four runs, three doubles, one home run, four walks, and four RBI from the leadoff spot. For his performance, Novak has been named MIAC Baseball Player of the Week.

Baseball Sweeps Carleton Doubleheader in Dramatic Fashion

The Gustavus baseball team extended its winning streak to nine games Saturday with a doubleheader sweep at Carleton. The Gusties won game one 4-2 and then mounted a last-inning comeback in game two for an 8-7 victory, improving to 13-1 overall and 7-1 in the MIAC.

Baseball Wins Seventh Straight, Sweeps Macalester 5-1, 11-1

The Gustavus baseball team won its seventh consecutive game Wednesday with a twin bill sweep at Macalester. The Gusties won 5-1 in game one followed by a decisive 11-1 decision in game two, improving to 11-1 overall and 6-1 in the MIAC. 

Baseball Weekend Series vs. Hamline Cancelled

The Gustavus baseball team's three-game weekend series against Hamline, scheduled for a doubleheader Saturday at Hamline and a nine-inning game Sunday at Gustavus, is cancelled due to COVID-19 testing protocols.

The Gustavus baseball team Friday started its three-game series with No. 22 Saint John’s with an 8-3 victory at the Gustie Baseball Field. The Gusties blasted four home runs in the game while the pitching staff tossed eight scoreless innings and limited the Johnnies to seven hits.
