Haley Pesik Named MIAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Elite 22 Award Winner

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) recognized some of its best and brightest winter-sport student-athletes on Tuesday with the announcement of its winter sports Elite 22 Awards. Haley Pesik (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) was named the women's swimming and diving Elite 22 Award winner.

Rooney, Webster Named February Athletes of the Month

Men’s track and field student-athlete Taylor Rooney (So., Andover, Minn.) and women's swimmer Maggie Webster (Sr., Apple Valley, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College February Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.

Softball Splits with Pair of WIAC Teams

The Gustavus women's softball team traveled to Rochester Regional Dome on Sunday to take on two WIAC foes. The Gusties defeated UW-River Falls 6-4 in game one before falling to UW-Eau Claire 7-2. With the results the Gusties move to 2-3 on the season.

Women’s Tennis Wins Three Matches Saturday

The Gustavus women's tennis team hosted three matches on Saturday and took home a trio of victories. With the wins the Gusties record moves to 8-5 on the season.

Sharbono, Malo Garner MIAC Honors for Men’s Basketball

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its men’s basketball postseason awards Tuesday and two Gustavus student-athletes received recognition. Riley Sharbono (Sr., Marshall, Minn.) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention while Nolan Malo (Fy., Owatonna, Minn.) received All First-Year honors.

Women’s Tennis Splits Pair of Matches in Washington Sunday

The Gustavus women's tennis team travelled to Walla Walla, Wash. this weekend and played two matches. The Gusties first defeated Whitman 5-4 before falling to Linfield 6-3. With the results the Gusties record moves to 6-6.

Softball Drops Pair of Contests Sunday

The Gustavus softball team played a doubleheader at the Rochester Regional Bubble on Saturday and fell to Buena Vista 5-0 before falling to No. 20 UW-Oshkosh 11-0. With the losses the Gusties record falls to 1-3 overall.
