The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) recognized some of its best and brightest winter-sport student-athletes on Tuesday with the announcement of its winter sports Elite 22 Awards. Haley Pesik (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) was named the women’s swimming and diving Elite 22 Award winner.

Men’s track and field student-athlete Taylor Rooney (So., Andover, Minn.) and women’s swimmer Maggie Webster (Sr., Apple Valley, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College February Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.

The Gustavus women’s softball team traveled to Rochester Regional Dome on Sunday to take on two WIAC foes. The Gusties defeated UW-River Falls 6-4 in game one before falling to UW-Eau Claire 7-2. With the results the Gusties move to 2-3 on the season.

Riley Sharbono (Sr., Marshall, Minn.) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention while Nolan Malo (Fy., Owatonna, Minn.) received All First-Year honors.
