The Gustavus Adolphus football team got the offensive spark it was looking for on Saturday in Moorhead, Minn., cruising to a 38-14 victory over Concordia in its first road test of the season. Quarterback Logan Becker scored three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush), while attributing for 297 yards of offense, throwing for 256 yards (21-29) and rushing for 41 yards (14 att.) in the game.

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s soccer team fell to St. Olaf 5-2 on the Gustie Soccer Field Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. St. Olaf hit the net early and often, scoring in the first minute and not looking back.

Football Set To Face Concordia In First Road Test

The Gustavus Adolphus football team will travel to Moorhead, Minn. to take on the Cobbers of Concordia on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1:00 p.m. The game will be the first road test for the Gusties as they are coming off a three-game home stand to start the season. Gustavus enters the game with at 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the MIAC, while Concordia is 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus women’s soccer team suffered a 1-0 double-overtime loss to Saint Mary’s under the lights in Winona, Minn. on Wednesday night. Saint Mary’s forward Sloane Kuramoto netted the game-winning goal off an assist from Amy Sibik in the 105th minute of the match.

Volleyball Drops Five-Set Thriller To Augsburg

The Gustavus volleyball team suffered a five-set heartbreaker to Augsburg on Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. Set scores for the match were 16-25, 25-21, 13-25, 28-26, and 15-7. The Gusties fall to 4-9 overall and 1-3 in the MIAC, while Augsburg improves to 9-8 overall and 2-2 in the MIAC.

Gustavus Adolphus senior Katie Schenfeld (Indianola, Iowa) has been named MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week for her performance at the SMSU Mustang Invite in Marshall, Minn. on Sunday, Sept. 26. Schenfeld took the tournament crown, after shooting a 75-75-150 (+6).

Men’s Golf Takes Second Place At Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s golf team fired a 306 in day two for a weekend total of 608 (+32) to finish in second place at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite held Sept. 26-27 at the Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire, Wis. and New Richmond Golf Club in New Richmond, Wis.
