The Gustavus football team brought the 2010 season to a close with its annual banquet on Sunday, Jan. 9th in Alumni Hall. Seniors Dustin Kammerer, Brandon Jonker, and Zach Lundquist highlighted the event keynote awards section.

Women’s Basketball Prevails 59-53 Over Hamline

The Gustavus women's basketball team prevailed 59-53 over a hot shooting Hamline squad on Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. Molly Geske led the Gusties in scoring with 17 points, while Hamline's Kara Poirier scored a game-high 26 points. With the victory, Gustavus improves to 11-6 in the MIAC and 12-8 overall. Hamline falls to 7-10 in the MIAC and 8-12 overall.

Davis And Justice Named January Student-Athletes Of The Month

Gustavus' Skylar Davis and Danielle Justice earned Athlete of the Month honors for their outstanding performance in the month of January. Davis is a senior swimmer from Palatine, Ill., and Justice is a junior goaltender on the women's hockey team from Alexandria, Minn.

Winning-Streak Ends At Six, Women’s Basketball Falls To Macalester 59-47

Macalester snapped the Gustavus women's basketball team's six-game winning-streak with a 59-47 win on Monday night in St. Paul. Molly Geske led the Gusties with 12 points, as Gustavus falls 10-6 in the MIAC and 11-8 overall.

Mickey Haller Earns 200th Win, Surging Gusties Defeat Concordia 59-53

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated Concordia 59-53 on Saturday afternoon in Moorhead, Minn., earning Head Coach Mickey Haller her 200th career victory. The Gusties currently the hottest team in the MIAC with a five-game winning-streak under their belt. Gustavus improves to 11-7 overall and 10-5 in the MIAC with the victory, while the Cobbers fall to 13-5 overall and 11-4 in the MIAC.

Women’s Swimming & Diving Drops Dual 149.5-91.5 To MSU-Mankato

The Gustavus women’s swimming and diving team fell 149.5-91.5 to MSU-Mankato on Senior Night in the Lund Natatorium Friday. The Gusties recorded five individual event wins and 15 top-three finishes at the meet.

Men’s Swimming & Diving Falls 133-108 To MSU-Mankato

The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving team suffered a 133-108 loss to MSU-Mankato in its final home meet of the season on Senior Night in the Lund Natatorium. The Gusties registered 17 top-three finishes, four of which were in event wins, at the meet.

Ruane’s Strong Second Half Lifts Women’s Basketball To 60-58 Victory Over St. Olaf

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated St. Olaf by the score of 60-58 on Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties were led by Colleen Ruane who turned in a career-high 22 points. Gustavus extends its winning-streak to five games with the victory, improving to 10-7 overall and 9-5 in the MIAC, while St. Olaf falls to 9-8 overall and 6-8 in the MIAC.

Whitaker Davis Earns MIAC Men’s Swimmer Of The Week Recognition

Gustavus Adolphus senior swimmer Whitaker Davis has been named MIAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for his standout performance at the Grinnell Invitational held in Grinnell, Iowa this past weekend.

Men’s Swimming & Diving Wins Grinnell Invitational

The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving team recorded 1312.5 points to win the Grinnell Invitational held Friday and Saturday, Jan 21-22, in Grinnell, Iowa. The Gusties registered 20 individual top-three finishes and five wins in the relay events at the meet. Grinnell College finished second with 1254.5 points, while Luther College took third with 716 points.
