Women’s Swimming Falls to St. Olaf on Friday

The Gustavus women’s swimming team lost to St. Olaf in a dual meet on Friday night in Northfield, Minn. The Oles recorded 148 team points while the Gusties compiled 95 team points.

The Gustavus women’s swimming team traveled to Northfield, Minn. to compete in a dual meet against conference rival St. Olaf College on Friday night. The Oles defeated the Gusties 148-95 to hand the Gusties their first dual meet loss since January 2003.

Gustavus claimed two relay titles on Friday night at the Skoglund Center pool. Katie Haynes, Eva Miller, Yoshi Ludwig and Laura Watkins won the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:06.55. Katie Garvey, Kari Reed, Laura Watkins and Beth DeLaRosby won the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:39.20.

Beth DeLaRosby led the Gusties individually by winning the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle with time of 24.43 and 54.39, respectively. Katie Garvey won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:59.60 and Eva Miller claimed the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:31.29.
