CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Gustavus men’s tennis team finished their spring trip with a 7-2 loss to No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. With the loss the Gusties fall to 12-7 on the year.
“The guys competed very well today,” said Head Coach Tommy Valentini. “The energy in doubles was electric. Patrick and Chase played their game beautifully, and Yassine and Nick showed great poise and guts from a breakdown to force and play a great tiebreak to give us a lead. In singles we put out a solid effort but CMS played great so hats off to them. I was pleased with how positive and resilient we stayed, and the progress we made in our game today.”
