SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s basketball team will travel to Northfield on Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest with Carleton College. The Gusties enter the contest 4-7 overall and 1-5 in the MIAC while the Knights are 3-7 overall with a 1-4 mark in conference.

Saturday’s game marks the 92nd contest between the two teams with the Gusties leading the series 55-36. The Knights have been victorious in the last four contest, winning the most recent contest 81-63 on Jan. 31, 2018.
Scouting the Knights
In their most recent contest on Dec. 15 the Knights fell to Bethel by a score of 73-72. They are led offensively by Kent Hanson, who is averaging 18.9 points per contest which is good for fifth in the MIAC. He is also fifth in the MIAC in rebounds averaging 7.7 per game. Matthew Stritzel has been an outside threat for Carleton all year shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc and making a league best 3.2 three point shots per contest. As a team the Knights are averaging 62.3 points per contest while allowing 69.8.
