SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s soccer team will concludes its 2018 season on Saturday when they head to Macalester for a 1 p.m. contest. The Gusties currently sit at 5-11-2 with a 2-6-2 MIAC record while the Scots are 4-8-3 overall with a 1-6-3 record in conference.
Scouting the Gusties: Gustavus is coming off a 0-0 double overtime tie with Hamline on Wednesday. The Gusties are led offensively by the trio of Abby Mullenbach (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.), Emily Skogseth (Sr., Burnsville, Minn.) and Chase Miller (Sr., Brooklyn Park, Minn.). Mullenbach, Miller, and Skogseth have six, five, and four goals respectively to lead the team while Skogseth leads the team with five assists. Abby Goodno (Fy., Little Canada, Minn.) has started 13 games in net, making 86 saves while allowing 20 goals.
Scouting the Scots: In Macalester’s most recent contest, they lost 1-0 to the College of Saint Benedict on Wednesday afternoon. The Scots are led this season by Yukeria Haywood who has seven points and Molly Adams and Alice Bieda who each have five points. The Scots have had three different goalkeepers start multiple games, but Kayla Togneri has started seven, making 35 saves while allowing nine goals.
