She was also selected as the MIAC Athlete of the Week April 10 while going 3-0 at the Midwest Invite April 6-7, highlighted by earning the team’s sole point against the University of Chicago, winning 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.

The Rochester native finished her senior season 19-7 in singles and 19-11 in doubles. Over the course of her four-year Gustavus career, Aney went 79-23 in singles play with an impressive 33-1 mark against conference opponents. Aney earns the 110th CoSIDA Academic All-America distinction in school history, which ranks 11th among Division III institutions and first in the MIAC. Head baseball coach Brad Baker ’80 earned the College’s first Academic All-America award in 1979.
