WEST BEND, Wis. – After a slim one-point loss to a Division I team Saturday, the No. 10-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team rebounded Sunday with a decisive 8-1 win over No. 40-ranked UW-Whitewater. The Gusties’ lone loss came in doubles play as they swept in singles to improve to 10-5 overall.
”The guys played a very strong match today,” Head Coach Tommy Valentini said. “Whitewater competes well and we were fortunate that the results matched up with the focus and level we competed with today. The team did well to stay in the moment and trusted in each other and supported each other beautifully. It was a great team win, and we’ll look to use it to continue to grow moving forward.”
