Women’s Tennis Drops Tight Match At DePauw, 5-4

The No. 29-ranked Gustavus women’s tennis team dropped a close match at No. 23-ranked DePauw University Saturday morning as its overall record falls to 1-3 on the season.

GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The No. 29-ranked Gustavus women’s tennis team dropped a close match at No. 23-ranked DePauw University Saturday morning as its overall record falls to 1-3 on the season.

“We hung with them today and the girls fought hard,” said Head Coach Jon Carlson. “I was very proud of them all.”

“Briana, Ally Baker and Ginger had some hardcore 3rd quarter battles,” said Carlson. “Lilly Hartman played some great doubles but her overhead elbow problem was detrimental in singles. Hannah Borgh has some great sliders out there today.”

Gustavus is set for another two matches tomorrow, starting with a contest against Northwestern Ohio at 9 a.m., followed by a matchup at Division I Butler University at 1:30 p.m., both times eastern.
