ST. PETER, Minn. – The No. 20-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team is set to host matches against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, MIAC foe Hamline University, and the University of Northwestern-St. Paul Saturday in its spring season home opener.
The Gusties will face the Blugolds of UW-Eau Claire at 8 a.m., followed by a conference matchup with Hamline at 11:30 a.m., and finish with Northwestern at 6:30 p.m. All matches will be live streamed HERE.

A weekend ago, Gustavus opened the 2017 spring season in Walla Walla, Washington and returned with a win and two losses. The Gusties fell 6-3 to No. 24 Whitman College and 7-2 to No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer before defeating No. 31 Pacific University 7-2.
Mohanad Alhouni (Jr., Tripoli, Libya) led Gustavus, going 2-1 in singles play, including a pair of straight-set wins against nationally-ranked foes, and he also went 2-1 in doubles. Alhouni’s singles wins were 6-4, 6-2, against Whitman’s No. 40-ranked player, and 7-6, 6-1, against the nation’s No. 38-ranked player from Pomona Pitzer.
