BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Casey Decker (Jr., Mapleton, Minn.) had a productive day punting the ball against the No. 4-ranked Tommies. Decker had six punts for 235 yards, averaging 39.2 yards per punt. He also landed a season-long 57-yard punt inside the 20-yard line. Decker’s punting was crucial in the field position game as he gave the Tommies a long field to work with after each kick. Two of his punts were not returned, while the other four were returned for an average of only 2.8 yards. This season, Decker has punted 39 times for a total of 1,396 yards, and his average of 35.8 yards per punt ranks third in the MIAC. He has five punts inside the 20, nine fair catches and two touchbacks.
