Men’s And Women’s Soccer Earn NSCAA Academic Award

For their commendable academic work during the 2015-16 academic year, the Gustavus men’s and women’s soccer teams have earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Academic Award.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For their commendable academic work during the 2015-16 academic year, the Gustavus men’s and women’s soccer teams have earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Academic Award.

The Gusties received recognition after qualifying with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by the addition of every team member’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.

Men’s Soccer Head Coach Mike Middleton’s squad earned a team GPA of 3.04, while Laura Burnett-Kurie’s women’s team owned a team GPA of 3.51.
