SAN ANTONIO – The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s tennis team fell to No. 24-ranked Trinity University by a score of 8-1 on Monday at the Butch Newman Tennis Complex. The loss drops the Gusties to 9-4 overall and concludes their time in the Trinity Invite held Saturday through today.
“Although we lost today, I’m happy that our team was able to see such high levels of competition at every position,” said Coach Jon Carlson. “Throughout the course of this trip, especially today, we made huge strides and learned a great amount. Matches like this can only make us better down the stretch. Trinity was a great team to play and a great host, and we’re thankful we were able to be part of such a great tournament experience the past few days.”
