Women’s Hockey Remains At No. 8 In USCHO.com Poll

After splitting its season opening conference series with No. 3 University of St. Thomas, the Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey team remained ranked No. 8 in the most recent USCHO.com poll that was released Monday. This is the fourth consecutive week the Gusties have been ranked No. 8 in the poll.

ST. PETER, Minn. – After splitting its season opening conference series with No. 3 University of St. Thomas, the Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey team remained ranked No. 8 in the most recent USCHO.com poll that was released Monday. This is the fourth consecutive week the Gusties have been ranked No. 8 in the poll.

Gustavus came away with a 6-4 victory in Friday’s game in St. Peter that was highlighted by a Diana Draayer (So., Deephaven, Minn.) hat trick. However, the Tommies controlled the series finale on Saturday in Mendota Heights and earned a 5-3 victory over the Gusties. Following the split, St. Thomas jumped one place to No. 3 in this week’s poll.

Up next for the Gusties is a conference series with Augsburg College. Friday’s game will be held in Minneapolis beginning at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s contest will return to St. Peter at 2 p.m.
