SAINT PETER, Minn. – Following a week in which it tied UW-Superior 2-2 and defeated St. Olaf 4-1, the Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey team remained ranked No. 8 in the most recent USCHO.com poll that was released Nov. 9. This is the third straight week the Gusties have been ranked No. 8 in the poll.
This weekend’s series with the University of St. Thomas will be key for both team’s place in the rankings for the remainder of the season. After winning last season’s MIAC Playoff Championship, the Tommies are currently ranked No. 4 in the poll, and are the only other MIAC team that is ranked.
Gustavus will face St. Thomas on Friday at Don Roberts Ice Rink at 7 p.m., and will travel to the St. Thomas Ice Arena in Mendota Heights for the series finale on Saturday at 2 p.m.
