Trailing 7-2 heading into the top of the seventh, Bethel put together a two-out rally. With the bases loaded, Abbie Bircher delivered a two-run single up the middle to cut the lead to 7-4. With the game-tying run at the plate and two runners on base, Heacox buckled down and struck out Micayla Moore to end the game.
