SAINT PETER, MINN. – Following a 6-3 loss to Bethel University in the MIAC Playoff Semifinals this past Saturday, the Gustavus Adolphus women’s hockey team slipped to No. 9 in the most recent USCHO National Women’s Hockey Poll that was released Tuesday. The Gusties had previously been ranked No. 7.
After earning a regular season series split with Bethel on Feb. 20 and 21, the Gusties could not hold off the Royals a week later, as they scored four first period goals en route to the three-goal win. Gustavus will now wait until March 9 to find out whether it will be named to an at-large bid in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
