John Kauss Selected To Compete In NCAA Individual Championships, Kauss and Mike Burdakin Chosen For Doubles

The NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Committee has selected John Kauss (Sr., St. Paul, Minn.) as one of 32 single players to participate in the NCAA Men’s Tennis Individual Championship and is the only undefeated Division III player in the singles draw at 24-0. Kauss and doubles partner Mike Burdakin (Sr., Bettendorf, Iowa) were also selected as one of 16 double teams to participate in the NCAA Men’s Tennis Double Championship. Both players will be competing in the NCAA Individual Championships at the Biszantz Family Tennis Complex in Claremont, Calif. on May 22-24.

The Gusties begin NCAA Regional Team Tournament action on Saturday at 3 p.m. in St. Peter against UW-Whitewater/UW-Eau Claire in the second round. The winner of the NCAA Regional Team Tournament will qualify for the NCAA Team Championships on May 19-21 at Claremont.
