St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus softball team will travel to St. Paul to take on St. Catherine University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. Trailing 4-3 in the second game, the Gusties came roaring back to score three runs in the bottom of the sixth to capture the two-run win.
St. Catherine last played on Saturday as well, losing to St. Thomas 10-2 in game one and 8-0 in game two. The Wildcats were eight-run-ruled in both games, as each lasted just five innings. The Tommies scored runs early and often, controlling each contest from the start.
