Women’s Tennis Rolls Past Bethel 9-0

Arden Hills, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s tennis team rolled past Bethel University 9-0 on Friday night at the Ona Orth Athletic Complex.  The Gusties swept the doubles competition and continued on to win all six singles matches in straight sets on their way to the win.  With tonight’s result, Gustavus improves to 12-3 overall and 5-0 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), while Bethel falls to 3-12 overall and 0-7 in league play.

Gustavus made quick work of the doubles contest, winning 8-2 at first and second doubles and 8-3 at third doubles to open up an early 3-0 lead.  From there, the Gustie women would not look back as they went on to sweep the singles competition, winning each match in straight sets to capture the 9-0 victory.
