Men’s Tennis Opens Home Schedule With Wins Over UW-Eau Claire, St. Scholastica, Hamline

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s tennis team opened the home portion of its 2014 schedule with a busy Saturday at the Swanson Tennis Center.  With three matches on the docket, the Gusties took care of business from morning to night.  Gustavus kicked off the day by defeating UW-Eau Claire by the score of 7-2 in its morning match.  The Three Crowns then swept the College of St. Scholastica 9-0 in the afternoon and Hamline University 9-0 later that night.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team will head into another busy weekend with an overall record of 4-1.  On Saturday, Feb. 22, Gustavus will host Grinnell College at 8:30 a.m. and Morningside College at 2:30 p.m. at the Swanson Tennis Center.  Away from St. Peter, a portion of the team will travel to Winona for a 4:00 p.m. match against Saint Mary’s, while another portion will head to Owatonna for a 6:30 p.m. match against St. Olaf.
