Women’s Swim Team in Eleventh Place After Second Day of Competition

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s swim team has earned 72 points and is in eleventh place after two days of competition at the NCAA Championships. The 200-yard medley relay team finished in ninth place on Friday with a time of 1:48.82.

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s swim team have earned 72 points and are in eleventh place after the second day of competition at the NCAA Championships in Saint Peters, Missouri.

The 200-yard medley relay team earned points for the Gusties on Friday. The team of Laurie Decknatel, Eva Miller, Katie Garvey, and Beth DeLaRosby placed ninth in relay with a time of 1:48.82.

The 800-yard freestyle relay place seventeenth on Friday afternoon. The team of Katie Garvey, Jessica Coleman, Laura Watkins, and Beth DeLaRosby recorded a time of 7:54.88 in the relay.

The championships will conclude on Saturday and the Gusties hope to move up in the standings. Beth DeLaRosby will race in the 100-yard freestyle and Eva Miller will race in the 200-yard breastroke on Saturday. The 400-yard freestyle relay team will also compete on the final day of competition.
