St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus softball team will head to Minneapolis to face Augsburg College in a doubleheader on Friday, April 26. Game one of Friday’s twin bill is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. The Gusties carry an overall record of 7-10 and an MIAC mark of 4-2 into Friday’s games. Augsburg sits towards the bottom of the league standings with 16 conference games under its belt. The Auggies are 10-24 overall and 3-13 in league play.
Gustavus heads into what will be a busy weekend coming off a sweep over Carleton on Thursday afternoon at Hollingsworth Field. The Gusties defeated the Knights 8-1 in game one and 7-5 in game two. Augsburg was last on the diamond on Thursday as well, dropping a pair to Bethel on its home field. The Royals topped the Auggies by scores of 8-5 and 16-6.
