The Gustavus men’s cross country team hosted its annual Alumni Meet this past Saturday in the Arboretum. Twenty-seven runners participated in the event including 12 members of the Gustavus team and 15 former Gusties. The race distance was 5,000 meters. Mike Henderson, who competed for Gustavus from 1997-2000, James Sorenson, who competed from 2001-04, and Chris deLaubenfels, who competed from 2004-07, finished in a three-way tie for first with a time of 16:28. The top Gustavus runner was Dan Foley who finished fourth in a time of 16:37.
The Gusties will open their regular season on Saturday , September 13 at 10:45 am at the Grinnell College Invitational in Grinnell, Iowa.
