The Gustavus men’s golf team fired a team score of 306 on the second day of the Bobby Krig Invititational and finished second with a 54-hole total of 292-298-306–896. Saint John’s won the team title with a total of 286-295-290–871. Individually, Matt Bohlig of Saint John’s claimed medalist honors with a total of 70-73-69–212. Mark Stuckey paced Gustavus with a total of 71-71-78–220 to finish tied in fourth place with Derek Holes of UW-Stout (75-69-76–220). The tournament, which is named after a former Gustavus golfer who was a long-time supporter of the program, was played on two different courses. The first day was played at Le Sueur Country Club in Le Sueur, Minnesota and the second day was played at the Ridges at Sand Creek near Jordan, Minn.

Others scoring for Gustavus on Tuesday included Eric Harris with a 75, and Ricky Copeland posting a score of 76. For the tournament, Eric Harris tied for ninth place at 77-72-75–224, Jordan Hawkinson tied for 15th place at 75-77-77–229, Kyle Rohlfs tied for 17th at 73-78-79–230, and Ricky Copeland tied for 19th at 73-82-76-231.

Coach Scott Moe placed two other Gustavus teams in the tournament including the Gustavus Black team that placed eighth and the Gustavus White team which placed 15th. The Black team was led by Josh Curb who finished eighth with a total of 71-76-76–223. The White team was led by Kevin Horn who tied for 35th place with a total of 82-78-78–238.
