Olson named MIAC Nordic Skier of the Week for Second Time

Gustavus Adolphus senior Ingrid Olson (White Bear Lake, Minn.) was named the MIAC Nordic Skier of the Week for the second time this season. Olso won the 13 kilometer freestlye race at Mora Vasaloppet on Sunday, February 8.

Gustavus Adolphus College senior Ingrid Olson (White Bear Lake, Minn.) won the 13 kilometer freestyle race at the Mora Vasaloppet on Sunday, February 8 in Mora, Minnesota. As a result of her performance, Olson has been named Female Nordic Skier of the Week for February 2-8 by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. This is the second time Olson has been selected for this award.

Olson finished the course in a time of 42:50 and edged teammate Nicole Olson by :01 to claim the title. Olson will take part in another NCAA Qualifier this weekend in St. Cloud, Minnesota. This will be an important race for the senior as she remains in serious contention for the program’s first ever individual qualifier for the NCAA Championships.

Ingrid is the daughter of Gerry and Paulette of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
