The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set to square off against Saint John’s University in the semifinal round of the MIAC Playoffs on Friday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. on Gus Young Court. The 2011-12 Co-MIAC Champion Gusties enter the contest as the No. 2 seed at 19-6 overall. No. 5 seed Saint John’s, who is now 16-10 overall, is coming off a thrilling 47-45 victory over Augsburg in the quarterfinals on Wednesday night in Minneapolis.
The winners of Friday’s semifinal match-ups earn a bid into the MIAC Playoff Championship set to take place at the site of the highest remaining seed on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m.
