Gustavus Adolphus Junior Sam Broderius (Hector, Minn./Buffalo Lake-Hector) has been named MIAC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week for her performances at the Gustie Invitational held in St. Peter, Minn. on Saturday afternoon. Broderius won the shot put and discus with NCAA provisional marks at the meet. She took the shot put with a toss of 13.02 meters (42-8.75 ft) and the discus with a toss of 44.95 meters (147-06 ft). Broderius’s shot put ranks first in the MIAC and 16th in NCAA Division III, while her discus ranks first in the MIAC and third in Division III.
Broderius and the Gustavus women’s outdoor track and field team will compete in its final regular season meet on Friday, May 7, at the Meet Of The Unsainlty hosted by Hamline in St. Paul, Minn.
