The Gustavus women’s tennis team received the #1 seed for this weekend’s 11-team Midwest Invitational which will take place in Madison, Wisconsin. The Gusties, who are ranked #4 in the current ITA Division III poll, enter the tournament with a record of 16-2 overall.
Coach Jon Carlson’s squad just returned from its spring break trip to Southern California where they posted a 4-1 record against some of the top teams in Division III. The Gusties opened the trip with a 7-2 loss to #3 Washington and Lee, but then defeated #11 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 7-2,
