Gymnast Brittany Moore Advances to Vault Finals at NCGA Championships

Sophomore Brittany Moore finished tenth on the vault with a score of 9.375 and advanced to the vault finals at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships being held in La Crosse, Wisc. The finals will begin at 4:00 pm on Saturday.

Sophomore Brittany Moore finished tenth on the vault with a score of 9.375 and advanced to the vault finals at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships (NCGA) being held in La Crosse, Wisc. Moore will now compete for the individual national title on the vault with the top 12 scorers from Friday night. The vault finals will begin at 4;00 pm in Mitchell Hall on the campus of the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse.

The Gusties had six other gymnasts compete on Friday night, however none of them advanced to the finals on Saturday. Other results for Gustavus on Friday included Shannon Bank finishing 19th (out of 56) on the vault with a score of 9.250, Danielle Berg placing 32nd on the vault with a score of 9.175, Amanda Parker finishing 21st on the uneven parallel bars (out of 56) with a score of 9.00, Therese Gay placing 22nd on the bars with a score of 8.975, and Ashley Erickson finishing 23rd on the bars with a score of 8.950. Nicole Gergen competed in two events on Friday night. She placed 24th on the floor exercise with a score of 9.30 and 30th on the balance beam with a score of 9.375. There were 56 competitors on both the beam and floor exercise.
