13 Gusties Earn MIAC Football All-Conference, Jakes Wins Mike Stam Award

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2022 football awards Monday and 13 Gustavus student-athletes received All-Conference recognition. Zach Jakes (Sr., North Mankato) highlighted the postseason awards for Gustavus by winning the MIAC Mike Stam Lineman of the Year award for the second consecutive season. 

Billings Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Week

Clara Billings (Sr., Rochester) added to her team- and conference-leading statistics last week, scoring seven points in the Gusties' three games. Billings scored two goals and added two helpers against UW-Superior Tuesday, added another assist in the Gusties' 4-1 win at Bethel Friday night, and then put up two more goals in their 7-1 victory on Saturday. Three of Billings' goals were scored on the power play, giving her six on the season - the most in the nation. For her performance, Power was named MIAC Women’s Hockey Offensive Player of the Week.

Men’s Soccer NCAA Run Comes to an End in 1-0 Loss at Chicago

The Gustavus men's soccer team's run in the NCAA tournament came to a close Sunday in the NCAA sectional final with a 1-0 loss against host Chicago.

Men’s Hoops Opens MIAC Play with 74-71 Win Over Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened the MIAC season Saturday at home against Saint Mary's and came away with a 74-71 victory at Gus Young Court, marking Justin DeGrood's first victory as a head coach

Men’s Soccer Moves on to Elite Eight, Defeats St. Olaf in Shootout

For the second time in as many games, the Gustavus men's soccer team advanced in the NCAA tournament via a thrilling shootout victory. In a rematch of the MIAC playoff championship, the Gusties got revenge against St. Olaf after playing to a 2-2 double overtime draw followed by a 4-3 penalty kick victory.

Gusties Fly Past Cardinals, 85-45

The Gustavus women's basketball team opened MIAC play Saturday afternoon, and did so in convincing fashion, rolling to a decisive 85-45 victory over Saint Mary's. 

Wieland, Billings Score Twice, Gusties Defeat Royals 7-1

The No. 2 nationally-ranked Gusties scored seven goals, including five in the first period, rolling to a 7-1 victory over the Bethel Royals Saturday afternoon.

Villalobos Finishes 119th at NCAA Championships

Evelyn Villalobos capped her junior season Saturday at the NCAA Championships, taking 119th place out of 292 runners with a time of 23:36.3.

Men’s Hockey Ties Bethel 1-1, Loses Shootout

The Gustavus men's hockey team played to a 1-1 overtime draw against Bethel on Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink, and gave up a point in the conference standings with a shootout loss.
