BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its All-Playoff Teams for Volleyball Tuesday afternoon, and there was no shortage of awards for the MIAC Champions. Sydney Olson (Sr., Willmar), Marlee Turn (Jr., Kennedy), and Kasie Tweet (Jr., Adrian) were all named to the All-Playoff Team. Turn, in addition to her Offensive Player of the Year honor from the week before, was named Tournament MVP for her efforts in the MIAC Semifinal and Championship.

Olson, receiving her first All-Playoff Team honor, was crucial for the Gusties in their two victories last week, posting 17 kills, three service aces, and eight blocks. Olson hit .309 between the two matches, including a .411 performance against Saint Benedict on Thursday. Five of Olson’s eight blocks and all three of her aces came against St. Olaf in the title game.

Playoff MVP Turn delivered 27 kills, four aces, and 44 digs against Saint Benedict and St. Olaf last week. Receiving her first playoff honors, Turn posted her team-leading 16th double-double against St. Olaf, with 18 kills and 28 digs. Her 28 digs were just five short of of her season- and career-best 31 against Cornell College on Oct. 11.

Earning her second All-Playoff honors, Kasie Tweet dished out 77 helpers between the two matches, 32 against Saint Benedict and 45 against St. Olaf. Tweet also added two service aces to her team-leading 36 and 34 digs to bring her double-double total to 15 on the season.

The Gusties face UW-Eau Claire in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday at 12:30.
