Football Knocks Out Beavers Early, Wins Season Opener 62-20
For the second straight year the Gustavus football team opened the season at Buena Vista with a stellar offensive performance, but unlike last year's matchup, the Gusties played a more complete game with a 62-20 victory Saturday evening in contrast to last year's 80-58 decision, which tied the NCAA Division III record for most combined points in regulation.
Gusties Post Second Straight 2-1 Win
Saturday’s game rang true to one theme for the Gustavus women’s soccer team: déjà vu. For the second time in as many games, Coach Laura Burnett-Kurie and her team found themselves down by one goal in the second half. And for the second time, the Gusties responded with two goals of their own.
