Rennie Named MIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

Daniel Rennie (Fy., Cape Coral, Fla.) tallied the second-most passing yards in program history in Gustavus’s 28-25 loss to UW-Stout on Saturday.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Daniel Rennie (Fy., Cape Coral, Fla.) tallied the second-most passing yards in program history in Gustavus’s 28-25 loss to UW-Stout on Saturday. In just his second collegiate game, Rennie completed 28-of-34 passes for 467 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown, helping account for 24 of the team’s 25 points in the game. His passing performance was the sixth 400-plus-yard game in program history and just the second showing north of 450 yards. For his performance, Rennie has been named MIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week.

    He suffered a broken wrist with torn ligaments in his left hand on the very first drive, and played the rest of the game in severe pain. Thank you for recognizing his game, this means so much to him. He is very sad that he is out for the rest of the season, he wanted to accomplish so much more.
