2021 Men’s Soccer Season Preview

The Gustavus men’s soccer team begins its 2021 campaign Wednesday when it travels to Wartburg for a 3 p.m. contest. After a nearly two-year hiatus from typical season play, the Gusties posted an unblemished spring season - mainly consisting of exhibition matches - after winning the MIAC regular season titles and back-to-back championships in 2018 and 2019.

2021 Women’s Soccer Season Preview

After missing the fall of 2020 season due to the pandemic and a shortened spring of 2021 season with mainly exhibition matches, the Gustavus women’s soccer team is set to embark on a full-slated schedule Wednesday afternoon at Central College. The Gusties are coming off a spring season where they posted a 4-3 overall record against all but one conference opponent. This fall’s schedule features seven non-conference games and 11 MIAC contests.

Cross Country Alumni Meet Features New Course

The Gustavus cross country program is set to host its annual Alumni Meet on Saturday morning at the Linnaeus Arboretum. Last year's race was cancelled due to the pandemic and this year's race features a new course layout. 

Nelson Selected CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team

Gustavus women’s sprinter Birgen Nelson (So., Edina) has been selected to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Third Team, which was announced Tuesday. Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Aney Selected CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team

Gustavus men's tennis player Nick Aney (Jr., Rochester) has been selected to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America Men’s At-Large First Team, which was announced Wednesday. Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Merila Selected CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team

Gustavus gymnast Brooke Merila (Jr., St. Michael) has been selected to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Third Team, which was announced Wednesday. Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
