Six Gusties Named MIAC Men’s Tennis All-Conference

The MIAC released its men’s tennis awards Tuesday and six Gusties were selected All-Conference. Jack Bergmeyer (So., Lincoln, Neb.) and Indraneel Raut (Jr., Oshkosh, Wis.) were named to the Singles Team, while Nick Aney (Jr., Rochester), Alex Budde (So., Menomonee Falls, Wis.), Daniel Fouchier (So., Nootdorp, Netherlands), and Xavier Sanga (Sr., Madison, Wis.) were named to the Doubles Team.

Pedersen Tied for 37th After Round One at NCAA Championships

Gustavus men’s golfer Jacob Pederson (Jr., Minnetonka) fired a four-over 74 on day one of the NCAA Division III Championships on Tuesday. Pedersen is five strokes off the lead and is currently tied for 37th out of 191 golfers.

MIAC Baseball Play-In Series Moved Up to Friday/Saturday

The Gusties and Knights will play one nine-inning game at 4 p.m. Friday at Carleton, followed by two nine-inning games starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gustavus.

Men’s Tennis Travels to Chicago for NCAA Regional Round Saturday

The 2021 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship bracket was released Monday and Gustavus is slated to travel to the University of Chicago where it will face Denison University (Ohio) in the second round on Saturday, May 15.

Baseball Rallies Late Again, Defeats Saint Mary’s 6-4

The Gustavus baseball team closed out the conference regular season Sunday with a 6-4 victory over Saint Mary’s. The Gusties broke an eighth inning tie with a pair of runs and held on for the win, improving to 23-3 overall and 18-3 in the MIAC.

Women’s Tennis Falls to the Tommies in MIAC Championship

The Gustavus women's tennis concluded its MIAC postseason in a 5-0  loss at St. Thomas. The Gusties finish the season with a 16-2 overall record after finishing with an 8-2 mark in the conference. The Gusties faced an early deficit after dropping all three of their doubles matches and St. Thomas won in the first two singles matches to secure the championship title.

Men’s Tennis Wins MIAC Playoff Title 5-1 Over Carleton

The Gustavus men's tennis team is going dancing. The Gusties won their 10th consecutive MIAC playoff championship Saturday with a 5-1 victory over Carleton at the Brown Outdoor Courts, advancing to the NCAA Championships for the 33rd time in program history.

Track & Field Has Final Tune Up Before Conference

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams competed at the Maverick Classic, hosted by Minnesota State-Mankato, on Friday for their final tune up before next weekend’s MIAC Outdoor Championships.

Women’s Tennis Wins in MIAC Semifinal

The Gustavus women's tennis team won 5-3 over the Bethel Royals in the MIAC Semifinal on Friday. The Gusties improve to 16-1 and will face the winner of St. Thomas and St. Olaf on Saturday.

Baseball Walks Off for Second Time This Week, Sweeps Augsburg

For the second time this week, the Gustavus baseball team erased a late-inning deficit for a comeback walk-off victory to secure a doubleheader sweep. The Gusties on Thursday defeated Augsburg 9-2 in game one before eliminating a 5-2 deficit in the eighth inning of game two, scoring two in the eighth and two in the ninth for a 6-5 walk-off winner.
