Wikström Named MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Oscar Wikström (Fy., Hunnebostrand, Sweden) won all three of his singles matches at the ITA Division III National Men's Team Indoor Championship last week. For his performance, Wikström has been named MIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week. 

Women’s Basketball to Host MIAC Quarterfinal versus Hamline Tuesday

The Gustavus women's basketball team will host Hamline Tuesday for an MIAC quarterfinal matchup. The Gusties enter the contest 17-8 overall and 13-7 in the MIAC while the Pipers are 15-10 overall and 10-10 in the league.

Football Announces 2020 Summer Camp, Junior Visit Dates

The Gustavus football program has set dates for its 2020 summer camps. The Golden Gustie Youth Camp for campers in grades 3-8 will take place in two sessions – the first June 11-12 and the second June 18-19. The Golden Gustie 7-on-7 Passing Tournament for high school teams will be held June 17. Both camps will be held at Hollingsworth Field on the Gustavus campus. The football program will also hosts its Junior Visit Day on May 16. 

Men’s Tennis Takes Seventh at ITA Indoors in Dramatic Fashion

Oscar Wikström's (Fy., Hunnebostrand, Sweden) third set breaker victory propelled No. 20 Gustavus men's tennis to a dramatic 5-4 win over No. 11 Kenyon in the seventh place match of the ITA DIII National Team Indoor Championship on Sunday.

Women’s Tennis Drops a Pair to Division I Opponents

The Gustavus women's tennis team faced a couple Division I teams over the weekend and lost both. The Gusties lost to Northern Iowa 7-0 on Saturday before dropping another 7-0 match to Drake on Sunday. The Gusties are now 1-2 early in the season. 

Men’s Tennis Falls to WashU in ITA Indoor Consolation Semis

No. 20 Gustavus men's tennis battled No. 9 Washington University in St. Louis in the ITA Indoor consolation semifinals on Saturday night, but fell by a score of 6-3. The Gusties will now take on Kenyon in the seventh place match at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Swanson Tennis Center. 

Men’s Hockey Closes Out Regular Season with Overtime Loss at Bethel

The Gustavus men's hockey team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss at Bethel Saturday night. With the loss the Gusties move to 11-11-3 overall and 7-7-2 in the MIAC. 

Women’s Basketball Overcomes Deficit, Falters Late in Loss at Augsburg

Augsburg overcame a 12-point deficit late to defeat the Gustavus women's basketball team 77-74 Saturday. With the loss the Gusties finish the regular season 17-8 overall and 13-7 in the MIAC, while the Auggies finish 21-4 overall and 17-3 in the league. 

Men’s Basketball Ends Season with 96-77 Loss at Augsburg

The Gustavus men’s basketball team ended its season Saturday with a 96-77 loss at Augsburg. The Gusties finish 8-17 overall and 8-12 in the MIAC for eighth place, while the Auggies enter the postseason 18-7 overall and 14-6 in the league.

Women’s Hockey Claims 16th MIAC Championship

For the 16th time in program history, the Gustavus women’s hockey team is the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion. The No. 4-ranked Gusties on Saturday afternoon treated the home crowd at Don Roberts Ice Rink to a 3-0 shutout victory over Bethel to finish the regular season 15-1-2 in the MIAC and 20-3-2 overall.
