BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Rachel Thate (Jr., North Mankato) competed in seven events at the two-day Minnesota Challenge last weekend, winning two individual events. She won the 400-yard individual medley in 4:45.14 and the 200-yard backstroke in 2:12.59. The junior swimmer also placed second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:13.97) and third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.90). Thate was part of three top-ten relay teams as well, including the fourth-place 400 freestyle relay, fifth-place 200 freestyle relay, and ninth-place 400 medley relay. For her performance, Thate has earned MIAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week.
