Holtan, Veldman Named October Student-Athletes of the Month
Volleyball outside hitter Kate Holtan (Jr., Rochester) and football quarterback Michael Veldman (Sr., Becker) have been named Gustavus Female and Male Student-Athletes of the Month, which is voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department and presented by Thrivent Financial.
Embacher and Holtan Named MIAC All-Conference
The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) came out with its annual volleyball awards Wednesday, and juniors Hailey Embacher (Jr., Mankato) and Kate Holtan (Jr., Rochester) were named MIAC all-conference. It is Holtan's third consecutive all-conference honor while Embacher is making her first appearance.
MIAC Semifinal Match for Men’s Soccer Postponed to Thursday
Due to snowfall impacting field conditions, the MIAC Men's Soccer Playoff semifinal contest between No. 1 Gustavus and No. 4 Saint John's has been postponed to Thursday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m.

The Gustavus volleyball team traveled to Minneapolis Tuesday night for their MIAC Quarterfinal matchup with No. 17 Augsbug and fell in three sets.
Men’s Soccer Set to Host MIAC Semifinal Versus Saint John’s Wednesday
The Gustavus men’s soccer team is set to host Saint John's in a MIAC semifinal match at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gustie Soccer Field. The No. 1 Gusties earned the MIAC regular season title with an 9-1 record and are 15-3 overall, while the No. 4 Johnnies finished the MIAC 6-4 and hold an 11-7 overall record.
Larson Earns MIAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Nolan Larson (Jr., West Des Moines, Iowa) turned in four first-place finishes to help Gustavus defeat UW-Stevens Point for the first time since 2007. For his performances, Larson has been named MIAC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Raphael Cattelin’s (Fy., Edina) netted a pair of game-winning goals last week including a MIAC title decider with 1:45 remaining in the team's 2-1 win over Macalester Saturday to gain himself MIAC Player of the Week honors.
Men’s Hockey Sweeps Lawrence with 4-3 Win Saturday
The Gustavus men's hockey team got an opening weekend sweep Saturday night as they defeated Lawrence 4-3. With the win the Gusties move to 2-0 overall, while the Vikings fall to 0-3.
