SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus football team welcomed 168 alumni, family and friends to its 29th annual golf tournament on Friday, Aug. 2 at Shoreland Country Club.
“It was an awesome day of golf and connecting with Gustie football alumni and friends,” Head Coach Peter Haugen said. “I am very thankful to all who were apart of this day and the countless sponsors who gave generously. From our tournament and hole sponsors to those who contributed to our silent auction and door prizes, your support is key to providing a great experience to our players who arrive August 15th for fall camp. Thanks to Shoreland Country Club and our staff for their preparation and work on the event. ”
The Gusties open the season Saturday, Sept. 7 in St Peter, Minn. against Martin Luther College. Homecoming this season is on Sept. 28 against Bethel and Hall of Fame Day is Oct. 19 versus Hamline.
