SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus softball team travels to Tucson, Ariz. Wednesday afternoon where they will play eight contests starting Thursday at 9 a.m. The Gusties enter the slate of games with a 2-4 record.

Scouting the Gusties
Gustavus enters the trip with a 2-4 record, most recently defeating UW-River Falls 6-4 before falling to UW-Eau Claire 2-7 on Mar. 3. Through six games, Aly Freeman has been the leader at the plate for the Gusties going 9-for-19 (.474) including a slugging percentage of .789 thanks to six doubles. Kenzie Skuza and Caitlin Kammerer follow behind Freeman with averages of .357 and .353 respectively. Freeman and Ashley Neuenfeldt have taken on a bulk of the work on the mound throwing 38 of the teams 39 innings. Freeman has thrown 18.2 innings and holds an ERA of 1.93 while Neuenfeldt has been on the mound for 19.1 innings with an ERA of 4.19.
